‘Traditions’ - The Story Behind Grace’s Latest Card Collection

Grace’s newest card collection, ‘Traditions’, was made in honor of her grandmother, known by us as Mama. Our Mama loved her Easter plaids. And since her passing, these patterns have always brought us those sweet nostalgic feelings of times passed and traditions passed on.

Coming up with the idea…

When we sat down to brainstorm ideas for a new card collection, we had spring and Easter on our minds. And when Easter is on our minds, so is our Mama.

Looking around for inspiration, we saw some old framed memorabilia that we had made years ago out of Mama’s old shirts… we had cut her Easter plaids into squares and turned them into little pillows and quilted pieces of art that we framed for family and loved ones. Why not take that same concept and turn it into a card?!

So we grabbed some paper, taped it into fourths, and got to work layering stripes and letting them dry. And Grace’s ‘Traditions’ card collection was made! We hope you like it as much as we do, and that it brings you that same warmth and comfort we feel when remembering the ones we love!
