Join us in supporting Ruby’s Rainbow in Honor of World Down Syndrome Day
With World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) coming up, we’ve been putting a lot of thought into how we’d like to support our community and do our part towards making a difference. Little did we know, the perfect opportunity would end up coming to us in the form of a direct message from Ruby’s Rainbow to our Instagram account!
In the message, Ruby and her team sent us a link inviting Grace and GracePlace Art to take their 3/21 pledge. Step one was to donate $21… step two, to pledge to be kind… and step three, to share our pledge with at least three people.
Before committing, we decided to do a little more research about Ruby’s Rainbow, to get a better idea of their mission. Turns out, Ruby and her team are directly in line with our core values at GracePlace Art! The organization raises money to ensure that people with Down syndrome get the chance to attend college and follow their dreams. As a result of this incredible work, the world gets to see just how amazing and capable people with Down syndrome really are!

With Grace just recently starting college, the issues of education and accessibility are very near and dear to our hearts, and quite literally at the forefront of our minds. Needless to say, choosing Ruby’s Rainbow as the focus of our WDSD fundraising efforts felt like it was meant to be.
So, of course, we took the pledge! And we will be sharing our team’s link across all our platforms, encouraging others to join us in supporting this cause. Furthermore, 21% of our sales from March 14th, 2022 until March 21st, 2022 will be added to our fundraising efforts!
Ruby’s Rainbow has a goal of raising $500,000 to help people with Down syndrome go to college and we are going to do our best to help them meet that goal. We appreciate every bit of your support throughout the process. Seriously, every penny counts, as does every share, repost, comment, and so on. Looking forward to reporting back and letting everyone know how we did! Together, we really can change the world!
